What I’ve learned
I need to find peace within a place and myself before risking my time and energy with other people. This can take a few days, weeks or a year. Maybe everyone has that, and they just find this peace differently than I do.
It’s fine if people don’t respond to you in the way you expected they would. Just see if the response is worth any further investment of your time.
If you are scared of something, do it anyway. Try to at least show up and then see if you are still as scared as you were before.
Spoiler: You probably won’t be.
Sometimes certain things take so much time to process that they suddenly come up months or even years later. That’s okay. Take time to let that happen.

Series/Movie: Restart Gilmore Girls, it’s September already.
Challenge: Frat parties
Culture shock: Thought it would be frat parties, turned out to be the load of unnecessary mini assignments that US universities give you
Reminder: Be excited for the fall. Keep on track with your plans for the new academic year (in all kinds of life sectors).
